    It’s an insult to Christianity because it reduces the Incarnation, the meaning of Christmas, to a mere sentimental feeling. That all we have to do is be nice to each other, and if we are nice to each other, well, then we know what Christmas is about. That’s simply wrong. Buddhists and atheists are nice to people as well, but they don’t know what Christmas is about.

    Not only is this the worst Christmas song ever written, it is also the worst song ever written, period. This is just sentimental crap, and it reduces Christmas to just sentimentality. Sorry, but the songwriter doesn’t get what Christmas is about at all. If the song is any indication of his faith, then his faith is nothing more than sentimentality.
